SUMMARY

Tunku Abdul Rahman Foundation encourages application from qualified Malaysian for Yayasan Tunku Abdul Rahman Scholarship 2011. This scholarship was structured to honour the deeds of the late YTM Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj as First Prime Minister as well as the Father of Independence. Beneficiary will be selected from successful students through precise selection procedure.

ELIGIBILITY

Basic Requisite

Malaysian Citizen

Not older than 25 years by the closing date of application

Just completed the First Semester of the First Year in a Bachelor's Degree at any local public institutions of higher learning (IPTA) in Malaysia.

Academic and Co-curriculum Requisites

Attained excellent results in SPM / STPM / Malaysian Government Matriculation / Foundation.

Credits in Bahasa Melayu and English Language subjects in SPM.

Attained minimum CGPA / PNGK of 3.5 in First Year Examination during the Bachelor's Degree programme.

Possesses leadership qualities with outstanding / active participation in extra-curricular activities.

Additional Requisites

Beneficiary of the Yayasan Tunku Abdul Rahman Scholarship 2011 is required to serve the country at least five (5) years after graduation of the sponsored programme.

SCHOLARSHIP VALUE

Scholarship values are as below:

Tuition Fees as adjusted by the IPTA
Monthly allowance of RM1000.00
Book allowance of RM500.00 per Semester
Studies-related allowance such as thesis, paper project allowance, stationery allowance (once annually)
Flight fares (2-way) once annually (for students studying in Sabah & Sarawak and students from Sabah & Sarawak studying in Peninsular Malaysia)
